John G's Pizzeria - Authentic New York-Style Pizza & Craft Salads in St. George, UT

Excellent New York-style pizza in St George! The pepperoni was exactly what you’d want— the ratios are spot on, and the crust had just enough of a bite to it. Excellent char, nothing floppy about it. To top it off, they’ve got the two slice and a drink special— I mean, come on. They’ve got dine-in and to go options, and I’ve got to say i like the atmosphere of the place. Catch us here anytime we can, it’s our new go-to pizza spot.

Discovered this cute little place based on Google reviews and was not disappointed! Only open 2 months, the inside is small (a few tables and booths inside, and a few tables outside), but nice and simply decorated. The staff was super friendly, and the food, can we talk about the food??? Beautiful presentation (you eat with your eyes first!), and then the taste was amazing as well. The Caesar salad had a very creamy dressing and you could taste the anchovy and garlic, but the best thing was that it was chopped nicely so it was easy to eat (no big pieces), and both dark and lighter Romaine, so not bland looking. It was finished with fresh herbs and cheese around the rim of the bowl, perfect for 2 people to share. Next, the Palermo pizza. Nice browned bubbled crust edges, crispy with just a little softness near the small end of each wedge, and the ingredients were evenly placed and spaced, showing care in the process and a bite of everything in each slice. Palermo Pizza: Topped with pepperoni, sausage, roasted garlic, tomatoes, artichokes, and mozzarella. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, St. George needs better eateries like this one, fantastico!

Tried out John G’s Pizzeria for the first time and went with a pepperoni and pineapple pizza to keep it simple. It did not disappoint! Definitely planning on trying their BBQ chicken pizza next time. We also grabbed some chicken tenders which were crispy on the outside, juicy and perfectly cooked on the inside. For dessert, we had the pistachio gelato, which was delicious and has us curious about the rest of their dessert menu. Overall, a great first visit and excited to come back.

John G’s Pizzeria absolutely blew us away. We ordered the white pizza and the classic pepperoni, and both were exceptional. The flavors were spot-on, the crust had that perfect crisp-chewy balance, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. You can tell they put real care into what they’re serving. This is hands-down the best New York–style pizza in St. George. The quality, the authenticity, and the overall experience were all top-tier. If you’re craving real NY slices without a flight to the East Coast, John G’s is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

*Opening week review* This is such an exciting addition to this part of town! We ordered the ocean view and the meatso (minus the sausage) pizzas with a Caesar salad. The crust is EXCELLENT. Chewy, so flavorful. They do it right. The ocean view was unique, I’ve never had anything like it. All the flavors blended perfectly- i wasn’t sure if I would like the apricots but I loved them!! I didn’t sample the meatso but the simple caesar salad with what must be homemade dressing was a perfect side. The dressing was the best I’ve ever had. I think they nailed the ambiance inside and there’s tables and chairs outside with umbrellas. Inside, the tables and chairs are heavy and good quality (something I’ve come to appreciate!). They only opened a couple days ago so they are still training staff obviously and smoothing out wrinkles. There was about a 30 minute wait for pizza after we ordered (however it was pretty busy when we arrived), so be patient. Not sure how their call ahead system is yet but we’d probably try that next time. Also I didn’t realize that our ocean view was missing the prosciutto until it was all gone and I was writing this review But it was SO good I didn’t even miss it. I look forward to going back and ordering it again to try it with! The Ocean View would be a great vegetarian option if you leave off the prosciutto. Overall I’m glad I could come during their first days open. I’m so impressed! I’ve been to quite a few restaurants in their opening week and there’s often so many mistakes that it distracts from the food. But the flavors here absolutely outshined the hiccups. It’s a must try! I look forward to when they get in their groove, we will be regulars. —- Update: came back and ordered the tutta and chicken bacon ranch pizzas along with the garlic knots and another Caesar salad. Pizza was delicious (the tutta feels like an extra pretty supreme), the garlic knots tasted like fried garlic donut bites and we loved them. And I can still confirm that the Caesar salad is hands down my favorite. That dressing is amazing!!! I will definitely come and order just that with chicken added

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars – A Pizza Paradise! This new pizzeria is an absolute game-changer! We ordered their massive 28-inch pizza and it was nothing short of perfection. We were lucky enough to have it divided into four different toppings (a special treat they don’t offer everyone, so don’t ask!), and every single slice was phenomenal. It easily fed two families (four adults and seven kids under 10) with leftovers to spare. We took it to-go and enjoyed it poolside, and it made our party unforgettable. The crust is pure magic: not too crunchy, not too chewy, just the perfect balance that holds up beautifully. Even the leftovers reheated like a dream, staying just as delicious as when it was fresh. Unlike big-box pizza chains that leave you feeling sluggish, this pizza somehow makes you feel good after eating it—light, satisfied, and ready for more. The toppings? Out of this world! The roasted garlic on the Margherita pizza is a flavor explosion, the pepperoni is classic and spot-on, the Hawaiian is a sweet-savory delight, and the barbecue chicken is an absolute crowd-pleaser. Every bite was a testament to their quality and care. I’ve already been back six times since they opened, and I’m counting down the days until my next visit. This place is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for pizza that’s next-level delicious and perfect for any occasion, this is your spot!

The best Pizza and Gelato in town is coming out of this family owned and operated neighborhood pizza joint! Absolutely perfect pizza and service! Thank you John G's for showing up in southwest Utah and showing us all what real pizza is!!! LOVE YOU!!!
